Located on the southeast coast of Sweden, Österlen is home to picturesque nature and scenic views. An area once home to fishermen and farmers, modernism is slowly transforming the landscape. The roaring of the ocean is always present as you wake up to the gentle morning light, walk through dense forests, bury your toes in pristine sand on the beaches, or watch cattle graze the open vistas.

It is where I spent many years of my childhood, and I visit as often as I can. The ocean air is crisp in the fall, winter and early spring, and gentle during the summers. The wind can be harsh, and in the winters the sun elusive, but with every visit you experience a calm and tranquility you didn’t have before.
